DevOps Implementation for Oracle Databases

The challenge

Teams were decoupled and there was no shared database DevOps strategy. Every change depended on fragile agreements.

Our approach

We worked with the people who build and the people who operate to join the flow. The goal was owned release management, with the database treated as code.

The solution

We implemented a single workflow with automatic pre-checks, Git, SQLcl, Jenkins, Flyway and scripts, on Oracle Database.

The result

There were fewer production errors, more standardization, change traceability and smoother collaboration between teams.
